About Me

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of New York. I received my Master's Degree in Social Work at New York University's Silver School of Social work and my Bachelor's Degree in Music Therapy from Berklee College of Music.

Growing up I was an avid singer and was heavily involved in musical theater. Music was my passion. As a child I grew up in a chaotic home environment, music was my source of power and self expression. This experience drew me to purse a career in Music Therapy. I began my career as a Music Therapist working in a Children's Hospital and Adult Psychiatric Hospital in Los Angeles, where I provided both individual and group sessions. Through my experience as a Music Therapist I began to recognize the overwhelming effect trauma has on an individual. With this knowledge I was pulled to dig deeper and have a larger overall impact with my clients. This lead me to NYU where I perused my masters in Social Work with the intention of becoming a psychotherapist.

Through my work as a psychotherapist I have extensive experience working with individuals of vast backgrounds struggling with low self-esteem, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, bi-polar disorder, eating disorders and trauma. I specialize in women's mental health and am passionate about empowering women to foster an internal sense of self worth. I work from a trauma-informed, feminist, anti-racist, LGBTQ affirming and health at every size perspective as I am fully aware as to how these systems oppress and impact my clients.

Due to my own childhood experiences and the role I played within my family system, I have always been an empathetic caretaker. Becoming a therapist was a natural fit that has turned into an unwavering passion.
